There is an ancient story of a dog left overnight inside a house of mirrors. The dog was alone but didn’t know it, whichever way the dog turned another dog looked back. Each time the dog snarled, the other also snarled.
The dog charged, and the other charged at him. So many enemies, and every one with hair raised and teeth bared. All night long the fighting continued until eventually, bloodied and exhausted, the dog collapsed.
That dog is us. It is ourselves we are seeing . Think about it, each of us looking at an event will describe it differently, each of us brings our past to describe our present. Our pasts are different.
The magic of the mirror is that it shows us to ourselves. Don’t smash the mirror, polish it.
