Sitting in a hospital room last night, a young nurse came in and asked my lover, “Would you tell me something about meditation?”
She spoke to the girl about watching the breath coming in and out past the tip of her nose. Then the nurse looked to me and asked the same question. I told her I watch thoughts. Just as when sitting on a hilltop and watching the clouds float by, it is the same with thoughts.
A friend sitting with us said she explores the Golden Light meditation. She breathes in golden light all the way to her feet, and then breathes out darkness through the top of her head.
There are said to be 108 meditation techniques but a thousand paths for a thousand people. Find one that works for you, and experiment.
