Teaching English To Natives

To native english speakers that is.
Beautiful prose is more than just marching pronouns out to the wall at dawn and summarily executing them, or hanging adverbs from the yard arm. No, beautiful prose is the result of exposure to great thoughts. Take Voltaire’s statement: “Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.”
However, there is no such thing as original thought. Everything has been said by someone before. Even the Buddhas turning the wheel of Dharma for another revolution implies that their message is as ancient as intelligence itself.
The essence of great writing, or even simple writing beautifully crafted, is experience. Experience of life and experience of those whose shoulders we stand upon.
Life is a journey of learning, and learning to communicate is exciting beyond compare.
